Peninsula Young Writers is part of Peninsula Writing and Literature Programs. Led by Beth Harrison, the organization holds creative writing camps for youth each summer.
Our mission is to foster the love of writing and reading for people of all ages and walks of life. We believe in the power of imagination, the importance of word play and the ability of words to communicate and transform experience.
Executive Director Beth Harrison founded and personally directs all programs. She has a PhD in American Literature from Columbia University and a secondary education teaching credential in English from Stanford University. She has extensive experience teaching writing to college students and has served as an academic advisor at Stanford University.
During the academic year she offers private tutoring and college essay consultation. She has directed her popular creative writing summer camp since 2005.
